Fuck. I can’t find the link I wanted on this subject that clarifies it (clearer than Fox News? Who would have thought it?). I think it might have something to do with the fact that they upped the budget a year or two ago for this very reason. So that if and when Obama one, they would have this exact headline, even though the reality is that the budget will pretty much be exactly what it was up until around late 2007. There’s more to it than what I’m stating but it basically is just a headline shell game.

Well, the rumors have been flying like crazy, but it’s going to be interesting to see how this affects my job. I have a feeling we’re going to see quite a few “retirements”.

I am for this, by the way. No better way to learn about the waste and awful management of taxpayer dollars than to witness it firsthand every day.
