Quizzo last night at the Abbaye...
Christina, were you there?
I thought you might have been and as I was leaving, I heard someone talking about the Glo-Co Times to you. You would have been on the team that got the french word right for the meshing of two words but not the correct translation, which was “coat hanger”. I was part of the two person team in front of you who looked like they were falling asleep.
Anyone else from the Scrabbled who I don’t know by sight? Maybe we can have a “missed connections” section for the Scrabbled?

wow! yeah, that was me. that’s so funny. yeah, we got “portmanteau” right. hahah. i definitely noticed you guys.
nah, no other scrabblers. i was sitting next to my really good friend aaron and his friend, oddly named “hutch.” we had a conversation about how aaron has a “hutch” and i have a “hutch.” that’d be pretty funny if you overheard that. hutch had been asking about my job, so we were talking about the gct.
cool! small world.
Also, Quizzo at Good Dog is, in my experience, the best Quizzo for two reasons:
1. It’s on the corner of 16th and Locust so you get off the train and it’s right there. Minimal time spent walking/being outside!
2. They have the second best burger in the entire city. Also, all the other food is also amazing.
We should definitely do a group outing sometime. I haven’t been since that time Heidi, Justin, Luke, Gos, and I went.
quizzo at Good Dog has always been far too overcrowded every single time i have tried to go, and so i have never experienced it. therefore it is not so good.
however half a block away is a quiz at Fado which i participated in for about a year straight every week and it was fantastic. about 11 rounds, music and picture rounds, and prizes for different rounds/placement. the food and beer selection are great. i loved that quiz and i;d love to go again if anyone is every up for it.
That is funny. Of all the quizzos to be at… And how do you say hi to someone you’ve only talked to on the Scrabbled? I also had been up for 24 hours, so an attempt at an introduction may have been a disaster!
And the Cruise Control answer was frustrating. But I was one of the two teams to get the Northern Exposure question right!
I usually go to quizzo at Byrne’s in Port Richmond on Wednesday nights-it’s more low key and easy, so my group always wins, but the food is good. I would be up for Good Dog sometime but not Fado. My cousin goes to the Fado in DC and has a good time but I have only heard bad things about the one in Philly.

kudos on the northern exposure question! i used to watch it with my mom, but didn’t remember too much about it. i was pretty proud of portmanteau and kinda scared at myself and hutch for knowing olivia d’abo.
