I just bought 2 gigs of RAM for $20
To put that in perspective, about two year ago that would have cost me $300 or so. Why so cheap? Microsoft screwed the RAM makers. Apparently they all expected everyone to upgrade their RAM with Vista and overproduced. Vista bombed. Now there’s a ton of cheap RAM out there.
Head to http://www.crucial.com and run their system scanner to see if you could use an upgrade. Short of installing a whole new processor, increasing your RAM is the quickest and easiest way to dramatically improve your system’s speed.

Too bad Apple makes an excellent product that people still covet.
Never buy RAM through Apple. I have a Mac and it was still $20 through crucial.

I bought four gigs of ram for my iMac…. $44.
It was my scholarship computer. With the tower and the 30" screen, I blew through that wad of cash in record time.
1GB RAM for the PowerBook (DDR2 P2700) is still around $25, but I might take the plunge and get 2GB of it anyway. It’s only got 1 GB, 512MBx2, right now. It is also on its last legs and I’m gonna try to squeeze every last bit of usability out of it.
