Say what you want about Bush
But he has great reflexes! Wow, how did he dodge that? Video after jump.

I’m second to no man in my disdain for him. And if McCain had won and Bush’s legacy of contempt for the constitution and basic human decency were going to get another 4 years to destroy this country I’d probably feel otherwise right now, but watching Bush’s protective, insular shell slowly fall away and seeing him finally get a glimpse of how he’s viewed in instances like this, and also the G8 Meeting where none of the other world leaders would shake his hand….I don’t want to say I feel sorry for the guy….but whatever I’m feeling it’s closer to anything resembling sympathy than anything else I’ve felt in the past 8 years.

I’m right there with you. I figure the guy probably cries himself to sleep at night, not knowing what he did to make everyone so mad.
I don’t agree with either of you. I take him at his world that he really and truly believes that history will redeem him. I don’t feel any sympathy. He and his disastrous administration partially or directly responsible for our economic woes and for the death of hundreds of thousands of innocent people. Fuck him and I hope he spends the rest of his days dodging expertly thrown shoes.
Seriously, that dude really made two amazing throws. Anyone know if the Phillies are checking him out?
I’ve thrown my shoe at the Frank Rizzo statue in Philadelphia. I’m glad to see that statement is making a comeback.
I guess if I throw shoes at a statue of a man who I think is responsible for a lot of the problems in the city I live in, I have to support shoe throwing at the man who is responsible for a lot of the problems in the world I live in. I am only disappointed that it wasn’t a spiked high heel. Next time!
Well, originally I was happy that nobody quoted Austin Powers since that surpassed the event horizon from funny to unbearably stupid nearly a decade ago.
Look, I loathe Bush as much as anybody else, but I’m happy to see him nimbly dodge the shoe and calmly play it off. I don’t like the idea of foreign journalists trying to hurt our representatives, no matter how lame-ass they are. If it was a pie, I would have thought it awesome.
I thought it was funny at first, but now there’s all these related stories popping out about the guy, how he hates the US and Iran. How hes been kidnapped or imprisoned or wronged by both sides. How he has such a complex and nuanced story. I swear if I hear someone start some “Joe the Iraqi” shit, its postal time.
