But why? Why would you need insulated winter boots…in the KITCHEN??!? Seriously, the person that wears those is a moving target.
It’s for charity, people! Celebrities including Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Simpson, Brooke Shields, Sharon Stone, Christian Siriano, Blake Lively, Cindy Crawford, Kelly Ripa, and Rachael Ray designed boots for UGG Australia’s sixth annual Art & Sole Auction. With six days left to go, Rachael Ray is kicking all the other celebrities’ asses right now, with her boots so far achieving the highest bid of $2,100.00. That whisk is a nice touch.
It’s all theoretical but I’d like to believe in my heart of hearts that I could be starving and homeless, and facing near death through either starvation or hypothermia or being beat about the head with a brick from some bumfights-esque youtube sensation wannabes, and if someone came to me and handed me money that was earned through the sale of those boots that I’d say “Yeah, no thanks. Keep your fucking blood money. I’ll take Death’s warm embrace.”

I’ve never had any problem with Do They Know It’s Christmas, particularly since at the time when placed against We Are The World, it was much less egregious both in terms of song and people involved.
But having seen the video recently I had not processed in years how laughable the top tier talent seems now. I mean Paul Young and Boy George are the flagship lead offs of that thing.

Nevermind that, how fucking offensive is this song? Do they know it’s christmas!? Of course not! They’re fucking muslim!
See I’ve always from day one found that hysterical in it’s totally clueless offensiveness and always have. It’s one of the best things about that song.
