NBC Cancels 10pm
The rumor going around is that NBC is going to put Jay Leno on at 10pm instead of letting him “retire”.
Also, Jimmy Fallon announced his house band for his late night show…yeah it’s The Roots.
Doesn’t this immediately screw Conan? He’s been the best guy on these late night shows for awhile now but won’t the big name stars just follow Leno to 10pm instead of going on The Tonight Show?
Also, this means NBC will only be doing 2 hours of primetime shows, will “edgier” shows be moved up to 9pm or just not made at all?

Its true, Zucker talked about it at a town hall in the lobby today.
Ugh! Will it be the Jay Leno show just moved up an hour? Or is it going to be something different? Why won’t he just go away?
Why the fuck is Jimmy Fallon getting a show? When did this happen? Why the hell did the Root agree to be a goddam late night house band?!
This totally screws Conan. Can NBC really be this fucking stupid? I mean there really hasn’t been a good NBC show at 10PM in years so it’s not a huge deal as far as that goes, but it’s still totally stupid.
It was announced Jimmy Fallon would take over for Conan when Conan takes over for Jay awhile ago. I am pretty sure it was posted on here.
It is a gigantic cut in production costs, something like 30 Rock costs millions an episode, whereas Leno costs a fraction. Also, its better to keep Leno on the network than let him go to ABC, which was another rumor I heard, and why not try to revive a weak time slot. Also, while it will be going up against whatever strong shows are on at 10, he’ll be the only late night show at that hour, not to mention have access to a larger audience.
A risk yes, but not a bad idea.
