I tend to like the atmospheric stuff and it’s one of the few occassions where I don’t go in for mixes and tend to gravitate towards full albums. Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Scorn, Current 93, the Plotkin/Harris “Collapse” record, Mercyful Fate.
I’m too lazy to make playlists, but I did just download the Misfits box set, which is easily a million times better.
I’ve never made a Halloween playlist, but I made one on June 6, 2006 (6/6/6) that would work ok. It involved Maiden’s Number of the Beast, Episode 666 by In Flames, various Cryptopsy songs (Orgiastic Disembowelment and so forth), Go To Hell by Megadeth, and that kind of thing.
