So where’s everyone watching it? Should we be prepared to storm the streets of Philly if they win? Are people calling out of work the next day for the parade?

Game 4 just happened sucka.
Can’t believe the Phils are making this so easy. I was WAY wrong about their pitching.
no idea! yes!! and if all goes well, my work will just call and office-wide day off!!!
let me know where you’ll be, cos we should all meet up. in philly, of course!!
Game 5? I’ll be in ROW ONE RIGHT ABOVE THAT DRINKABILITY SIGN IN RIGHT FIELD!! Sect. 204, Row 1, Seats 12 and 13!!
Those partial season tickets I got before this season are definitely paying dividends now!! And after the game I already have a place to crash in case the celebration is the next day!
seriously if there gets to be some sort of real plan going, someone (john) text me and let me know. PLEASE.
Living right off Broad St. in center city, I’m guessing I’d be trapped in my area by the throngs of excitable, screaming Philly people. And my car will probably get tipped over and set on fire.
Last night there was nothing but screaming and cars honking. Around 1:00, some people decided to rhythmically tap on my apartment’s buzzer for a good ten minutes. I’m really not sure what was outside my building that everybody wanted to honk at.
Basically, my place would make an excellent base of operations for a parade.
I know it’s a long shot, but I think there are some (at least one) scrabblers up in the Boston area… Going anywhere? I can’t imagine anything lamer than watching the Phills pull in a World Series win sitting alone on my couch.
I’m thinkin about going to the Fieldhouse in Center City (formerly the Independence Brew Pub) It’s a huge space with tons of TVs, very conducive for watching a potential clincher. Sure, it will be crowded as hell, but this situation calls for that.

There’s some shots from Broad and Walnut last night… and that was not even a clinching game.
I’m ready.
reggie, that sounds like a decent plan. going down to the stadiums might be nice, but i am not entirely crazy about that. i want beer and fun and craziness but i also want to be able to get back home easily at some point.
Hey, Reg,
How early do you think we’d have to get to that bar in order to get a seat? Standing the whole time doesn’t sound very appealing.
Yeah, that’s why I’m thinking Center City is a good spot for it. Easily accessible for all.
How early do you think you should get down? Well, honestly, I’d be going right after work and getting there around 6 and I don’t expect to get a seat. At least three hours before first pitch I’d say. Then again, I’ve never been to this bar in THIS incarnation (I’ve only been there when it was the Independence Brew Pub), so I don’t know for sure.
Moral of the story is, if you’re a bar and you’re in Philadelphia, you will be stuffed to the gills with people tonight.
7 hours til game time.
My nerves are going to be an absolute wreck. I’m also worried about the ‘p-word’. Gotta make plans on if it’s a tues. or wed.
christina said:fieldhouse is booked up.
…Meaning what? Meaning you got reservations? Meaning we can’t get in there cause there’s no room?

yeah, this makes no sense. unless they are doing reservations only, which is batshit.
Ok, it’s back to the Fieldhouse tonight. I should be there around 6:15 or 6:30.
Who’s all coming?? Remember to get there early to beat the line!
Gos and I are in, as well as Christina. I’m trying to push Luke into it. We should be there between 6:15 and 6:45 or so.
i plan on leaving my house no later than 6 p.m. to walk to the speedline to take the train in. hopefully, lauran, hutch and gosia will be joining me, but we are figuring that out this afternoon.
colin is taking the train in again. this time, amtrak and he will be in philly at 6:30.
