By John is overwhelmed about 1 month ago

He has survived another year. How many episodes of ‘The Hills’ lie in his future? Not many.

I am told I’m a business day too early on this. Oh well. Reggie’s dying, etc, etc.

Indeed, one business day early, and one more business day to cherish my life before I die of old age, but birthday wishes are appreciated.

And if there is a heaven, it’s bound to have DVD sets of the first three seasons of The Hills.

That sounds appropriate.

Happy Birthday Reggie. We’ve met a couple of times, so I feel OK in extending my best wishes.

These birthday posts have really got me thinking, though. Should birthdays really be celebrated like they are? I mean, I know Hutch is just being a dick with all of the closer to death talk, but it’s actually quite appropriate. Why do we celebrate getting closer and closer to death?

Perhaps we’re celebrating survival?

As in: Reggie, you’re closer to death but you avoided it for a whole year! Keep up the good work!
