Today's the first day of school!
But we don’t actually get kids until Thursday. Today and tomorrow are only meetings/in-services, which are tedious and horrifying.
But at least we don’t have kids.
Gone are the days of constantly refreshing theScrabbled hoping someone would post something worth commenting on, or trying to find an opening into the ages-old argument of moon landing hoaxes.
So long, eight hour The Wire marathons, and getting three Netflix dvds in the mail, watching them, and sending them right back out the next morning.

My daughter starts first grade tomorrow. Which I think means actual homework and stuff. It also means events and occassions where I have to be around other parents, which is absolutely horrible. To this day I still consider and toss around the idea of going back to get my credentials and getting into teaching but the one thing that keeps holding me back is the idea of having to put up with parents. Horrible.

I originally joined Netflix for the sole purpose of burning the entire series. I got hooked to the service though, so I stuck around. I’m currently in the process of getting all of The Adventures of Pete and Pete dvds.
Season 4 is very, very awesome by the way. Not quite as good as 3 in my opinion, but you might think differently given the whole teacher thing. Dude, Stringer…
