I spent the morning looking at pictures of bowel necrosis and other horrible medical things (you already saw this when you did the web site). Then this afternoon I did a layout about caring for terminally ill pets. Kinda bummed out. I feel like going home, pulling the curtains shut, and playing videogames.
Day’s gone fast, though, for some reason.
How are YOU?
Sunday night I got exactly 15 minutes of sleep (from 11:45 PM to 12:00 AM) and I was miserable all day yesterday. Then I scheduled a test drive with Chuck Pedano for probably this Friday, then took sleeping pills. I slept for approximately 11 hours, from 7:30 PM to 6:45 AM. Now I will be much happier (and productive) at work. Whoo!
I’ve shown the burger pics to a few people, who are A.) surprised at how serious the burger competition was, B.) jealous that they were not eating them, or C.) totally disinterested.
I’ve had this same conversation several times:
- “I can’t believe you put the stupid squiggle designs on the plate.”
- “Oh, well, I was just trying to get at least a few points for plating.”
- “Points for plating?!”
- “Yeah, Iron Chef scoring. Up to 10 points for plating, I think.”
- “….You and your friends are ridiculous.”
i’ve been making stuff for a livearts show on and off all summer. made a million things over the past couple of weeks, have barely even talked to bill in this time, have had to go to philly at least twice a week to work on things, blah blah.
dress rehearsal is thursday. real performances start friday.
as far as i can tell, i am ALMOST DONE everything i have to do, and what’s left is pretty easy to deal with. this is exciting. (i might need to help out other people, though, so they don’t go completely haywire and tear out too much of their hair.) barring any disasters, i don’t think i have to go back after thursday at all.. I CAN LIVE AGAIN. I CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT. I CAN ACTUALLY DO WORK AT MY DAY JOB BECAUSE I AM NOT DISTRACTED BY WORRYING ABOUT FINISHING MY PIECES ON TIME. PHEW.
