This is probably the first time I’ve watched Paris Hilton and not actively desired to see her getting disemboweled by barb-taloned reptile birds. She has an unmatched lust for the public spotlight and shouldn’t be too miffed about McCain using her in an ad… but his whining about Obama being popular and over-exposed smacks of petulant jealousy and hypocrisy.

He called the media his base and never complained about all their prior McCain fellatio in the past. Now he’s all pouty because we have an option to vote for somebody who doesn’t have scary, bulbous neck pouches.

I just love that boiled down to it’s simplest form, that McCain took the Hilton’s money to make an ad mocking their daughter.

Wisdom

The U.S.S. Mariner was a tug (the Jack T. Scully) that was pressed into naval service during the first World War. Another U.S.S. Mariner made a brief appearance in the mid-80s as a ship, staffed by real Navy enlisted men, that sat behind the Kingdome’s center field fence. It would rise up and fire a replica cannon after M’s home runs and victories. It was kind of stupid but also deeply cool.
