on a side note, the side bar is all screwy nowadays and seems to take a long time to update. i blame the ads.
The sidebar is screwy? Visually? Can you send me a screenshot? As for it taking a long time to update, yeah. That’s one of the “improvements” I made to make the page run faster. You see, before I made the caching changes, you would have to sit and stare at a blank page and wait for the sidebar to update. Now it reloads the page for you right away and sidebar reloads in the background.
i never look at the main page. i live my life by the side bar, so a slow side bar makes me leave sooner then i should sometimes. unless it refreshes itself constantly? that would be awesome. the slowness is what i meant by screwy, with the exception of when it randomly places itself at the bottom of the page.
on another side note: i think that the thingsthatwillkillhutch tag should be reserved for people who arent hutch since its usually about poking fun at things that could cause his brain to explode. the one exception that should be allowed is when hutch is relating a story to us in which he encountered something that could in fact kill him. for example, the burning of the hair story from a week or two ago.
the authors link takes me right back to the main page. how am i supposed to compare stats? HOW?!??

what about a search function?
Your mom’s a search function (for the record, I’m trying to make the search more robust. Right now, it assumes everything typed into it is surrounded by quotes, as opposed to, say, two separate keywords).
That’s the same damned thing they built on mythbusters. It gets you 6-8 inches off the ground then does nothing. Those two guys must have been pushing it around to make it look more amazing than it really is.
