Not only did Squaresoft announce that Final Fantasy XIII will be coming to the Xbox, but apparently you will soon be able to stream your netflix rentals to your TV. Very, very cool.

Yeah, I really hated the UI on that thing the few times I’ve used it. It’s completely unintuitive. Why is it that video games = metal bezels? I’m sick of all the goddam metal bezels!
Netflix streaming is an awesome idea. Too bad my life has been sucked away playing Civilization on Xbox Live.

yeah $100 for a wireless adapter is insane, just go with an actual wired connection. In other xbox announcements Portal: Still Alive is coming to the Xbox Live Arcade.

actually, the xbox is just an inferior system and people that cant grasp that just have ps3 envy. ill admit that its had a handful of games that have made me think owning one would be cool, but nothing strong enough to get me to run out and buy one.
netflix already sells a piece of equipment that lets you stream movies onto your tv. also since netflix dumped hd dvd and went exclulsively with blu ray, im willing to bet the ps3 will offer the option to stream their movies in the near future.
also, it looks like only half of the final fantasy 13 story will be for xbox as the companion game ff13: versus, will still be for the ps3 only.
i find it very amusing that they wont even bother making the xbox version for japan….
Derrick, I will concede that the PS3 is a superior piece of hardware. I’m still getting a 360 because I know of 2 people who own a PS3 (you’re one of them) and everyone else has a 360. Things could have been different if Sony decided not to shove the Blu-ray player down everyone’s throat and lowered their price points.
from that perspective i could understand your reasoning, since online play tends to be more fun with friends. i know around 5 or six people with a ps3 right now and two others that plan on buying one soon, so it wasn’t an issue for me.
what would be cool is if online games worked across platforms, but the only one i know of right now that does is ff11.
I’m surprised that multi-platform publishers don’t demand that feature since it would probably make their games more popular.
I will miss the PS-style controller. The 360 controllers are an improvement but still not as comfortable.

For the wii:
While that game is moderately interesting, I fear it’ll play like a Sega CD game… I mean, all of that violence seemed almost linear, as though it had to happen that way, depending of course on whether or not you did something inane right on the user end.
