Dickie Dee’s made the list! Goddamn all those hot dogs looks good, but the one I’m most interested in is the first one, the Sonoran.
Have plans to grab some Rutt’s Hut with my dad tomorrow. Nothing better than a ripper on a nice summer day.
Julia said:I had a Michigan Red Hot last year at Pirate’s Weekend in Alexandria Bay, NY! As this is right on the St. Lawrence, and a stone’s throw from Ontario, we got a side of poutine, the Canadian delicacy consisting of French Fries, gravy and cheese.
I can’t tell if you’re knocking poutine or not, but if you’re not, that, in combination with your love of The Wire tells me I should probably start hitting on you.
A/S/L?
LOL OMG and every other vile teeny-bopper acronym there is around. Real poutine is good, with proper cheese. The garbage you find more south with whiz is foul. Of course, I don’t do processed cheese product to start with, so anything with whiz is foul.
HOWEVER, that mixed with the infamous Red Hot was a bad mix.
For those of you in SOUTH Jersey, you should check out Hudocks Foot-longs. They’re the stuff that dreams are made of. It’s a hike and a half down to Quinton near Salem, but WELL worth the drive. The custard there is ridiculous as well.

I frequently get poutine from a place in NYC called Pomme Frites. They import the curd from Quebec, so it’s legit. It’s actually better than the poutine I’ve had from various late night shacks in Montreal, although I’m sure there are some “classier” places that I may have missed.
Pink’s! I love that place.
I’m also going to have my first ever Dodger Dog next month.
Also, I got a corn dog out of an automat somewhere around St. Mark’s in NYC a few weeks ago. That was interesting.
