I came totally late to the what’re you listening to party so I’m starting my own music list thread. So there.
Actually I was just thinking about this on my way home and haven’t been at a computer since. What are your top songs of 2008 so far?

I just set up a smart playlist to show me all songs from 2008 that I rated 4 stars or better and have listened to more than five times. I’m really anal about rating songs, so it ended up being a really comprehensive list of what I’ve been digging.

Kev, I had no idea there was a new British Sea Power. Is it more frantic like their first album or more MOR like the second? There was such a change in that band between the two albums, I wouldn’t have even thought it was the same guys.
Hmm…..I’m not sure what you mean by MOR. That’s one of those terms I’ve heard for years but don’t really know what it means. It’s fairly rocking in spots, very catchy. Not at all Coldplay like (if that’s what you mean by MOR). I don’t have much of a recollection of their first 2 albums to be able to say either way. When I get a chance I’ll try and ftp it.
I mean just that. Listen to Apologies to Insect Life from the first album and Larson B from the second back to back and you’ll see what I mean. You can get ‘em on my server. I don’t dislike Larson B or any of the stuff from the second album… I just don’t like it very much.
