Actually, I was just reading about White Manna on the A Hamburger Today blog and I’d like to take a trip up to Hackensack for that. I also read about it in Hamburger America (great book, btw)

Yeah, there’s another White Mana in Jersey City, too. One n. Same founder, different owner. They posted about it on Serious Eats the other day (and I think one of the Serious Eats writers is the Hamburger Today dude).

I was wondering, and now it’s confirmed that these burgers are part of the strange “White” trend in North Jersey. White Rose in Highland Park, White Diamond in Clark, and I guess sorta White Castle. It’s the onion/beef thing.

oh and if any of you are ever in jersey city again, go to marco & pepe on grove st. i used to work there. best food in town. plus, the macaroni and cheese is the best thing ever. its made with 4 different cheeses and has bacon in it. orgasm.
