The dude’s behind Penny Arcade made a video game and released it for damn near everything. You can get it on xbox live or download it online for $20 and it looks really fun. 1920’s love-craftian horror meets killer robots meets sex and fart jokes in a turn-based RPG.
Really, there’s no way it can be anything but good.

I just played 4 hours of it and it’s really great. It’s like a King Quest or those old click-and-find-items type game mixed with turn-based final fantasy-esq (actually , much more like chrono trigger) fighting.
And it’s fucking hilarious.
I will probably check out the demo on Xbox Live Arcade sometime this weekend.
I was going to replay Portal, but this will do!

I used to HATE Penny Arcade. A lot. But their writing and artwork has grown by leaps and bounds over the years. It’s often a pretty funny web-comic.
I want to check this out, but I may wait until they’re on the verge of releasing the second episode. I hate the long waits between episodic content.
I get the impression that they’re going pretty complete and wrapped up at the end of each episode. Like, in this one, I’m trying to find the giant robot that stomped on my house. But each “episode” is supposed to be another mystery for you to figure out.
So it’s more sitcom than it is serial.
