Lost: Season 4 Finale Part 1 of 3
So excited for Parts 2 & 3. It will be TV’s greatest moment.
I really loved the sense of camaraderie in this episode. All the Losties have been separated out into smaller groups, but in this episode things got shaken up a bit: Sayid appears on the shore to see Juliet, Sun, etc. Jack and Kate run into Sawyer. Sun and Jin see Desmond and Michael on the boat. The good guys are reuniting all over the place for the epic battle!
The reveal of the Orchid station (which is “the greenhouse” but apparently not really “the greenhouse”) is going to be excellent. Ben knows what it does. And Widmore knows what it does (since he assumed Ben would go there when all else failed). But, Widmore didn’t order it destroyed. So the Orchid station is something worth holding onto, whoever it is that wants the Island for themselves.
I don’t have much more to say about the episode. It moved things along very well and set up the true finale nicely.
Paris’ crazy theory of the week: Remember when the freighter guy mentioned some radio static that was ruining his boat’s radar (or whatever it was). Desmond said he would figure out what it was that was causing the jamming.
Well, I think it’s Aaron.
Comments
Yeah, Sun had Aaron on the freighter when the signals went kaflooey.
It was a great episode, but I don’t have much to add since it very much felt like the first act of a larger cohesive episode. I’ll save my thoughts for later. Two freakin’ weeks, apparently. Damn.
I do find the connection between Sawyer and Hurley to be far more sweet and effective than the one between Sawyer and Kate.
