Ooooo I am so getting final fantasy. Also, I wonder if defend your castle works over wi-fi. If so, that could be a hell of a lot of fun to kill Sammy at.

Ooo ooo, is this supposed to be a channel with quick free game downloads?

Also, does Nintendo think I do nothing but play video games?!?! Good lord, to be 11 again. I bet the time between Brawl and Kart would have felt like a lifetime.

We’re playing Mario kart at 8 if anybody wants in. I’m hosting.

TV Show King is absurdly fun. It’s like a cross between jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

Are you picking a fight? Man, your nose must be excited for the day off.

The final fantasy is absurdly addictive. It’s a little warcraft-esq, where you build various buildings in your city that let your guys do certain things. You never actually engage in battles. You just send your city-folk off to do them for you. So it’s all about kingdom management. It’s kinda cool, and more than a bit addictive.

Did that FF game fit on your Wii without having to delete channels? You seem to have more virtual console games than me, but I have a fairly small number of blocks left and don’t have a SD card lying around.

I kinda want to pick that up. I’m a crackhead for city-building games.

I absolutely had to delete some stuff. But I checked before deleting stuff and you can log back into the wii store and redownload them at any time. It can even show you just the stuff you bought but don’t currently have downloaded.

Also, it’s a very different city building type game. You never actually leave your town. You just build houses which spawn children who grow up into adventurers with various stats. Then you send them out looking for gold to pay for improvements or to fund new adventures and some crystal that you use to build new buildings with. The only annoying part so far is the reliance on interacting with your villagers to make them happy.

Hmm. I might pick up a cheapo SD card beforehand just because I have an irrational fear of deleting them and having the Wii Store throw back its head and roar with laughter. “What? Streets of Rage 2? We don’t remember you downloading that, you silly bitch! Gimme another eight bucks!”

I’m curious about LostWinds, too. It looks like side-scrolling Okami-lite. And Okami’s out on Wii now. I got it for PS2 a while back and it’s one of the greatest non-Zelda Zelda games EVER. Everyone should try it.

I don’t believe you can back games up to the SD card. Or maybe it’s just that you can’t PLAY them off the SD card…?

But yeah, I really want to see what this LostWinds is about.

Kee-rect. You can back them up and pull them back over, but you can’t play them off the SD card.

I have a feeling there’s a firmware update in the future, however, that allows it to function like a hard drive. If such a thing is possible. There’s too much irritation about storage space.
