while i’m probably the only one who has been following the blog on the making of zahav , i figured at least john may be interested that it is finally opening. it’s michael solomonov’s (who used to cook at marigold kitchen) first restaurant. i’ve been pumped for it to open… menus after jump

Well, I mean, c’mon. They were oysters. Also, despite not feeling all that drunk, that a lot of that dinner and a bit beforehand is sort of hazy.

wow! the rittenhouse was $6 when zahav opened. it’s $12 as of this evening. my favorite thing the past year or so is comparing whiskey prices throughout the city. now i can compare prices and years! at least at zahav

Same here — we just had a company summit thing in Philly and I spent much of the time telling the various out-of-state vegetarians that they need to go to Zahav for the eggplant alone.
