Apparently, alert American troops managed to quell the traitorous would-be droid assassins before the inevitable orgy of mechanised slaughter began.

This article is blowing the failure way out of proportion though. The SWORDS robot does not have autonomous aiming ability, it was definitely not “training” it’s sights on U.S. soldiers.

“The gun started moving when it was not intended to move.”

Although this is still scary and very problematic, it’s a very different animal than the picture this article is trying to paint.
