Thanks Philadelphia market Comcast!!!
instead of watching the phillies on espn2HD last night I got to watch the game on CN8, one step up from black and white. what a treat that was, looked like single CCD cameras.

Food Network HD is CONSTANTLY on my TV.
The only thing I have against it is this: Up until a couple weeks ago, the HD feed was totally separate from the SD feed. Different programming and all. There was lots of Food Network Challenge, Good Eats, and Unwrapped, Paula’s Home Cooking, Semi Homemade, and Everyday Italian.
Now it’s a simulcast of the regular SD feed, so there isn’t AS much HD content as before, bu there’s still plenty. The SD stuff looks to be widescreen but not stretched like TBSHD or TNT HD (thank god)
But yeah. Giada’s boobs look completely amazing in HD.
how could he think it looks the same??? when i walked in and saw you watching it, i thought you were watching an espn classics game from the 80s – and i’m not exaggerating, that’s honestly what i thought.
also, i am SO stoked about the new HD channels. thank goodness i have nothing to do this summer but watch tv.
Dawn I thought the same thing about ESPN Classic.
That’s the worst part about the early part of the season, lots of the April games end up being on CN8, usually on nights when the Flyers and Sixers are both playing and CSN and CW57 air them.
Funny story, I was hanging out with my dad over the weekend, and we came across the Blue Jays vs Red Sox on TV, but it was in crappy SD (during the free preview of the MLB Extra Innings package). The Blue Jays were also wearing their retro powder away blues for some reason, even though it was a home game.
Dad: “When’s this game from?”
Me: “Right now.”
Ryan said:i mentioned that cn8 looked shitty to this fucktard i work with, and he argued with me that it looked fine, and there’s no difference between cn8 and anything HD.
i was actually getting very angry.
That sort of irrational stubborn wrongness in the face of overwhelming evidence infuriates me more than anything else on this earth. I probably would have hit him.
