MLS Finally Coming to Philly
Well, it’s taken long enough, but there will finally be professional soccer in Philadlephia
A group called the Sons of Ben have been pushing for this for a long time. I can’t wait.

I just heard about this on NPR this morning. Apparently MLS games are pulling higher ratings than NHL games. I think this might be the thing that finally gets me fully into soccer.

It will be a load of shite , past their sell by date euro/s. american has beens and a few up and coming good american players – you may as well just go watch philly soul. Football parties at ours every weekend – usually just involving me as they can start anywhere between 07:30 and 10:00am

People complain about soccer not being a recognized sport in America, and now there’s a professional organization making progress (compared to past attempts that were complete failures) and that’s not good enough. It has to start somewhere.
The major problem with soccer in the states is is considered a game played by kids and women and whilst the Philly team may get good(ish)crowds, 10,000 is a figure I think they are looking for, they will never be hardcore because as soon as the boys get to high school they will have interest in only football and baseball and so no hardcore fan base will ever exist.
Maybe I am just seeing this too literally through english eyes.
i got a ball for christmas and am excited for 50-degree weather so i can go run around outside with it and get totally winded and throw up.

Yes, Scrolly is better than clicky. However I’d also prefer it start at the beginning. If I’ve already read that part then I can just move faster past it.
