yeah, but the whole Nathan thing and the last shots of Sylar were lame.

I am consistantly disappointed with this show, and I think I’m done watching it. Nothing ever makes sense.

Spoilers

Can’t Peter fly? Why the hell does he need Nathan? And how come Sylar can turn his head and raise his hand before 5 bullets hit him, but he’s unable to stop a charging asian kid from 30 yards? Stupid.

Their abilities are awfully strange. Countless times I’ve thought, “But he could have done that” or “Wait, a minute, why didn’t she do that”.

Spoiler
I assumed that Peter couldn’t use any other power because he was concentrating on the radioactive one. But I definitely questioned that too. I wanted a much bigger battle for the end. For having superpowers, these people are still often portrayed as plain ol’ humans.

I can’t believe they had a fist fight.

Exactly, Bill! It’s as if the show doesn’t have a decent budget for what we’d like to see.

Spoiler.

Parkman better fucking die. Five slugs to the torso is no joke, plus he didn’t really get immediate medical services. He should die of blood poisoning, at the very least.

And was anyone else kind of bummed that they killed the only guy who could restore dead/dying/crippled people? Sucks for the world, eh? Stupid fucking girl and her dumb husband. Those are my least favorite characters. Her “Incredible Hulk” thing sucks, and he’s just more or less pointless and boring. I’m a good guy, no, I’m a bad guy, wait… I steal money, but I love my kid and wife that tries to sell me out all the time. LAME. Wouldn’t it have been nice if Peter could have learned to save lives/give life before icing the dude with the great power? And was Peter able to pick up Sylar’s abilities by proxy? WTF?

While I agree with you, Paris, that maybe he was concentrating on not being a huge bomb, I was disappointed when he didn’t (and befuddled by the idea that he never thought to) just up and fly away before going le boom.

I’m expecting both Petrellis to survive into season 2. Any takers? Odds? What’s the action?

And will someone invent a search function by then so that we can find this post for when the horses come in and it’s time to settle up?

Although I did like how they set up the villian for next year… the even-even-worse-than-Sylar-villain who can see the little girl when she thinks about him. They ought to have killed off Sylar though, instead of him crawling into a sewer… Yeah, overall, the worst episode of what was a very strong season. Honestly, though, my theory is this:
the writers, who clearly had details mapped out entirely in advance of the whole season, always said the season would complete itself at the end… but the show took off, certain characters became household names (especially Sylar), and so then the producers forced the writers to change the end so these characters will show up next season.
Oh and I also REALLY hope they kill off Parkman… I hate him even if he is slightly less annoying without his stupid awful wife.

Wisdom

I wanted to start a discussion of the precise value of ‘beard’. Not ‘a beard’ but the metaphysical entity of ‘beard.’

I was going to talk about the historical power of ‘beard’ and how it was in ebb at the moment.

Behind the scenes, Beard provoked and minipulated the American Civil War, a brother against brother clash between beard and moustache. The war decimated the power of both sides, resulting in the rise to power of ‘sideburns’. (‘Afro’ suffered a major defeat early in the war, but sewed the seeds for a comeback 100 years later in the 1960’s.)
